Muscle Injury And Being Sedentary

The advancement of technology and the discoveries of new gadgets and equipment that make our lives comfortable are also resulting to an increase in medical health problems for most of the population such as muscle injury.  Examples of these new innovations are; tractor for farming, automobile and other motorized vehicle, and food processors.  Since these machines are easy to use and do not need a lot of physical energy to operate, we disregard the word physical fitness.  Thus, we ignore warm up exercise and stretching. Because of this, our muscle becomes atrophied and prone to muscle injury. And these muscle injuries lead to hospitalization which means several days or even months spent in the hospital.

The inventions of wonder machine and equipments though are helpful in our daily lives to make our work easier and to make us less exhausted in doing work.  Most of us depends on machines to transport us to places, cook food , and do many other things that we are still able to do  without any help from these machines.  By decreasing the time we work hard through physical exertion, we decrease and compromise our body’s ability to do physical work eventually causing muscle injury or muscle injuries with sudden movements.  Many of us gain weight more than the recommended weight according to our age, sex, height, and weight (BMI).

And this is because of poor eating diet and the increasing numbers of fast food restaurants that cook foods that are bombarded with preservatives which are harmful to the body.  Because of this disease such as diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, cancer, stroke, obesity, and other detrimental illness are on the rise.   Though there are a lot of factors involve for the rise of these illnesses, clearly inactivity and sedentary life style is a strong contributing factors.  By relying on these new wonder machines and decreasing the amount of physical work surely the above mentioned illness is inevitable and our body would be will be susceptible to injury such as muscle injury.

Our body is made of organic material and it has the capacity to grow and shrink if we do not use is often and wisely.  With inactivity our body becomes weak, we become prone to muscle injuries.  It also causes muscle bulk to decrease and bones to become dense and easy to break like in osteoporosis.  Cardiovascular capacity will be greatly affective and will result to easy fatigue.  Overall, moving and doing productive physical routines will help the bones and muscles get lubricated.
