MTM Award Recipient
Ann Lew
Anne Lew was named the inaugural recipient of the MTM Award in May 2006. Ms. Lew has taught in San Francisco public high schools for the past 34 years. Recently retired, Ms. Lew taught English at International Studies Academy (ISA). Affectionately known as “Lulu,” Ms. Lew enjoys a personal connection with her students and has accompanied ISA student trips to Japan and Costa Rica. Additionally, Ms. Lew has worked diligently to research and refine her teaching methods, participating in numerous conferences and publishing articles in research and teaching journals. In February 2006, the California Association of Teachers of English awarded Ms. Lew the Classroom Excellence Award of the Secondary Level.
