Getting in shape can sometimes be overwhelming when you do not know where to start and how to do it. People sometimes criticize other people by their appearance because they are fat and look like a person who has not groomed in years. Being healthy go hand in hand with staying fit because if you are fit that means that you have a healthy style of living than the rest. If you want to do workouts, you should be determined enough and you should have your mind set in that way things would go as you have planned. I am not an expert myself but here some of the reasons I have gathered why we need to get in shape so that we can live longer.
First, exercising can be tiring but the benefit you can get from sweating is priceless. It reduces cholesterol of LDL while increasing HDL or the bad cholesterol. Second, sleeping more can make you feel restless when you wake up the next day and yet exercise also helps make a person have a goodnight sleep. Third, getting in shape improves ones confidence and self-esteem. Fourth, it improves your sex drive since it increases blood circulation and prevents impotence. Fifth, staying fit can prolong lives by decreasing the incidence of getting diseases.
While you are getting in shape, your bone and muscle strength increases while decreasing the risk of getting bone or muscle injuries. Psychologically, it decreases the attack of depression and anxiety and it contributes to a change in mood. Staying fit or exercising can also help you control your weight or reduce it because you are also burning the calories from drinking and eating. A research was made stating that exercise can help a person from having Alzheimer’s disease by preventing it since exercise can help sharpen our mind as we get older.
When you have your mind set into exercising and your goals are defined, you will see that your hard work will be paid off. You can start with small goals because if you set big goals at the start of your workout and you do not get the result you are expecting, most likely you will get disappointed to the point that you will temporarily discontinue your physical activity for a while. In turn, it might also become permanently discontinued.
