When you generously give your tax-deductible donation to San Francisco Connect or to any of its "Connect" project entities you are entrusting us to make the best decision regarding allocating where the money is needed the most.
When you donate towards Tech Connect your funds go directly towards:
- Computers and Peripheral Equipment
- Technology Training
- Network Equipment
Donate your old computer so it can be refurbished
Several organizations will accept your donation. We can accept donations at some Tech Connect events, but you can take the computer to one of our partners at any time.

CAMINOS Pathways Learning Center uses computers to provide educational and employment opportunities to low-income, immigrant women of the Bay Area. Classes in technology and a job skills program help to strengthen the self reliance of each participant and contribute to the greater health of our community. Students of their computer repair classes apply their skills to maintain and upgrade donated machines. In turn, CAMINOS recycles the refurbished computers to low-income families or nonprofit groups.

Goodwill offers computer and electronic recycling and refurbishment programs for individuals and businesses. They refurbish donated items in working order and sell them affordably in the ReCompute store on Van Ness or make them available to community groups. Non-working components are broken down and recycled in a safe and environmentally responsible way. Funds

Street Tech is a nonprofit program offering low-cost computer training and job placement for deserving adults (ages 18 and up) from disadvantaged communities in the San Francisco Bay Area. Street Tech students undergo an intensive 3-6 month technical and life skills training programs, for 9-15 hours per week, after which they are transitioned into entry-level computer technician, help desk, and network administration jobs. They will distribute your computer to a low-income family or nonprofit organization.
